Popular Types Of Haircuts For Men

Blog

Men style their hair many different ways, and all of the different styles start with the cut. If you're looking for a new look atop your head, here are some popular types of haircuts for men.

Shaved Head

Not everyone can successfully pull off a completely shaved head, but it's a solid choice in several situations.

Most notably, older men who are balding may shave their head instead of combing over their hair. For men who have plenty of facial hair, a shaved head with a full beard creates a striking look that subverts the norm.

For a shaved head to look good, it should be shaved every day or two. While this is regular maintenance, it doesn't take much longer than styling other haircuts.

Buzz Cut

The buzz cut is the next-closest cut after a shaved head. It keeps all of the hair a consistently short length.

The short hair will reveal any bald spot, but for men that have a full head of hair, this is the lowest-maintenance haircut. There is no need to comb or apply anything other than shampoo/conditioner, and you never have a bad hair day. All that's required is a periodic buzz when the hair grows a little, and you can buzz the hair yourself if you like.

To spice up a buzz cut, you can shave a design into the hair. Lines are most common, although professional hairdressers can do more sophisticated designs. They may even be able to shave in a little picture or a name.

Mullet

The mullet is a classic look that continues to be worn by men today. The hair on top of the head is styled for a clean and put-together look. The hair is especially long, however, and is allowed to flow freely down the back of the neck.

Long Hair

Long hair is becoming increasingly popular among men, and is even accepted in professional settings. Long hair can be worn almost any way, with parts, headbands, ponytails, and man buns being just some of the options. Some men even braid their long hair.

Mohawk

The mohawk is one of the most noticeable hair cuts, both because of its look and because of how long some men wear it. While not universally popular, this continues to be a favorite of men in certain counter-cultural groups. It may be gelled so that it stands up, or ungelled so that it flops down.

Improving The Smell Of My Hair

I have always been a naturally sweaty person, which kind of got in the way when I really started dating. I realized I was going to be left trying to smell my best around the people around me, which really made me nervous. However, a friend of mine told me about a great kind of shampoo that was meant to help people who were struggling with bad odors. The shampoo really improved the smell of my hair, and when I used it every day, it eliminated the issue altogether. This blog is all about improving your hair and skin care by changing up your products.
